labor day

We celebrated labor day up at the family cabin. Jake has been up there a few times this summer to work and it is getting SO CLOSE to getting finished!! It was fun to see the deck and other things Jake has built/worked on this summer. We spent the day relaxing, roasting hot dogs and four wheeling. It was such a beautiful day and Calvin loved every second of it!

 

We shot BB guns at targets...

...and even had a little motivation...

We even got great grandma in on the fun! Ha ha- she was a deadeye shot!

..and we strapped Cal in the bjorn and took him on a little ride. He wasn't the biggest fan...

 

It was a great day and so nice to enjoy the mountain air. It is my favorite time of year to be in Fairview. Does anyone else feel like the leaves started to change over night??

 

Blessing day

On July 8th we finally gave Calvin a blessing. We waited until July so all my family could be there. Jake joked that Cal would be old enough to give his own blessing...but we are glad we waited. Everything turned out perfect!! It was such a special day. Jake gave a beautiful blessing and Calvin was an angel. I was told by my brothers and others in the circle that during the blessing Calvin tried doing sit ups and played with his shirt showing off his cute belly to all the men. Afterwards we had everyone over to our house for a brunch. It was such a great day!
